Fall Reflections

22″ x 30″ transparent watercolor on Arches 300 lb cold press paper.

This plein air painting was created during a 3-day workshop that was taught by two of my favorite artists, Dale Laitinen and Stephen Quiller. Fall Reflections was completed during Day 2 with Dale. While there were still quite a bit of tourists, the fall finds Yosemite a little quieter than the high season of late spring and summer. It was a joy to paint in Yosemite during this time of year.

Yosemite always fills me with awe and wonder, and spending time seeing this special place the way Dale and Stephen see it was a soul-opening experience.
