Yellow-billed cuckoos are reclusive birds and used to range widely throughout California. They have been observed in riparian areas along the Sacramento River in Colusa County, the Kern River Preserve in Kern County, and in San Diego County.
Evanescing 2 is inspired by walks along the Sacramento River among chatty songbirds high above in the valley oaks, willows, and cottonwoods.
This artwork has been painted with care on Yupo Medium, a recyclable, waterproof, and tree-free synthetic surface that is a unique alternative to traditional watercolor paper.
